Trust Officer Employee Benefits:
Work with Bank clients discussing investments, plan document/compliance issues and complete employee education sessions.
• Develop new client relationships and manage the day to day activities of the retirement plan area.
Responsibilities:
• Manage existing relationships and instill confidence in client.
• Conduct employee education sessions and discuss plan benefits
• Discuss plan investments documents and compliance with clients
• Prospect, solicit and sell Employee Benefit Retirement Plans through networking, referrals and centers of influence through in-person meetings, calls and e-mails.
• Create & present proposals and presentations as well as follow up with prospective clients.
• Maintain knowledge of present product offerings and general business trends.
• Participate in networking and community events to enhance awareness of product availability.
• Provide leadership in the day-to-day operations of the retirement plan area.
Skills: 5+ years of demonstrated retirement plan experience (ASPPA, CEBS or other retirement plan designation, a plus).
• Knowledge of Retirement Plans and ERISA.
• Possess knowledge of Balance Forward and Daily Valuation recordkeeping (and ability to review them).
• Active in local business community.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills along with possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to adjust approach based on each client’s situation (review potential conflicts, show value of our products and develop trust from client).
