The position will reports to the SVP, Human Resources Director
Our client seeks a Manager of Benefits to ensure all employees, new hires, temporary staff, and interns receive all relative communication with regard to employee benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the reporting and requirements of benefit programs such as major medical plans,dental plans, STD/LTD/life/AD&D, 401(K), etc.
Manager the payroll processing function.
Design/develop new or modified plans and implementation strategies.
Conceptualize and develop/modify plan offerings, using demographic modeling, impact and financial analysis.
Evaluate and compare existing benefits with those of other employers and/or companies
being acquired by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Analyze results of surveys and develop specific recommendations for review by Executive Staff.
Make recommendations to enhance benefit plans effectiveness. Monitor trends and prepare benchmarking studies.
Responsible for implementing comprehensive employee education and integrated
communication programs for the plans
Work with L&D to enhance the benefit section of the Company's HR intranet
Responsible for internal and external plan audits.
Manage plan filings including form preparation, financial statement review and completion of disclosure requirements.
Ensure customer service levels are maintained at high level.
Define best practices, maintain effective relationships, and ensure high service commitment
Assure compliance with company policies and government regulations as well as the
confidentiality and integrity of benefit information.
Develop a procedure for managers concerning all types of leaves of absence including but not limited to FMLA, CFRA, PDL, Workers Compensation, etc.
Manage multiple benefit plans.
BS/BA or equivalent in business or related field, MBA (preferred). 10-15+ years Benefit
management experience in a public, multi-national, multi billion dollar company (preferred).
Ability to effectively communicate with management.
Excellent presentation skills, analytical abilities and very detail oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent PC skills (including Excel, Microsoft Project, Power Point, etc.).
Prior experience in a financial firm company preferred
