Center for Families and Children
Cleveland, OH USA
CFC’s dedicated staff of nearly 300 serves over 12,000 youth, families, and individuals annually at nine locations throughout Cuyahoga County. The people we serve live in Cleveland’s challenged neighborhoods and inner-ring suburbs and many come from low-income and vulnerable populations. Our Behavioral Health Services provide community psychiatric supportive treatment services, adult and children’s counseling, and psychiatric and nursing services. Our Children’s Programs include early learning at five sites, Early Head Start and Head Start, youth development programs for at-risk youth, and parenting programs. CFC leads a community collaborative focused on addressing the challenges of incarceration and reentry. The collaborative provides comprehensive supportive services to individuals re-entering Cuyahoga County and their families; raises awareness of these challenges and engage the community in support; and advocates for broader system change. CFC serves as the lead agency in a Family to Family Collaborative to provide neighborhood-based services to families in the Cleveland Heights/University Heights area who are in the public system due to abuse or neglect and families who are identified as at-risk. CFC actively advocates for public policies that strengthen families and support those most at-risk in our community. CFC also provides employee assistance services, which are available to over 110,000 employees at 130 Ohio-based companies.
