Application Support Analyst

Title: Application Support Analyst Overview:Our Client is seeking a full-time contract role as an Applications Analyst in a senior department operations role focused on optimizing functionality and utilization of Legal Services’ portfolio of information systems, tools, data and related processes. Working across the full systems lifecycle, this position partners with internal and external technical and business experts to deliver reliable and effective technology operations and user interactions. This role applies combined technology and business expertise to provide the department with critical technical tools they need to provide high-quality professional services.Things you need to have: University Degree in a relevant analytical discipline (e.g. Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration), or demonstrated equivalent experienceFive+ years of combined experience in business analysis, IT operations, client service/supportComplementary certifications in project management, and business process and performance improvement methodologies are desirable (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Agile Project Management, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement)Strong client service orientation; solid understanding of service/support delivery requirements and approaches; strong affiliation with providing high-quality service/support delivery including willingness to go above and beyond to meet business needsExperience and understanding of modern, cloud-based information systems, information technology management, operations and support approaches, disciplines and techniquesDemonstrated ability to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and opportunities in technical and business operations performance, propose and implement improvements/solutionsExperience building business cases for technology investment including developing data-driven options and recommendations, and the ability to assess/explain impacts and valueExcellent collaboration and people skills, with demonstrated experience in internal consulting, coaching and training deliveryExcellent verbal and written communication skills required to earn the confidence of a highly educated, professional teamStrong organization skills, ability to work flexibly (in groups or independently) and sometimes to difficult deadlines; self-motivated and proactiveAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, high-demand working environment, to prioritize and adapt actions quickly, apply critical thought to business requests and avoid exposure of sensitive informationPositive attitude and understanding of requirement to perform effectively in ambiguous or changing work situations that may arise in establishment of net new operations support functionsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and WordThings that are nice to have:Experience with or understanding of in-house legal/regulatory operations, or internal service functionsWhat you will be doing:Develop and Deliver Technology Plan/Roadmap – Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan to evolve and improve information systems, tools, data and processes in alignment with Legal Services department priorities. Develop mechanisms that capture and criteria to prioritize continuous technology improvement opportunities. Research and provide best practice support and advice to department staff.Enable Department Operations – Develop effective technology operations feedback loops, collect user feedback and suggestions, understand the implications and translate to enhanced systems features, services, products or learning opportunities.
