What you will be doing:Input and maintain purchase orders into the ERP system and transmit to supplier. Update pricing, supplier price list, preferred supplier and qualified manufacturer/part number data and component weight, dimension and HTS code.Expedite past due or critical supplier orders to meet customer and company requirements.Generate and review open purchase order report weekly to assure on-time delivery.Interface with QC department and third-party inspection sources to resolve non-conformance issues identified in the pre-shipment inspection process. Oversee the process of credit or replacement of items determined to be non-conforming. Responsible for sending and receiving product samples and maintaining the accuracy of records.Coordinate with forwarders and overseas factories for shipments.Consolidate shipments and review booking report. Obtain and review commercial invoice to packing slip for accuracy prior to submitting to accounting for payment.Generate container reports for overseas shipments; review freight invoices, update costs in ERP system and distribute to warehouse and sales personnel prior to receipt of shipment.Source material from suppliers and evaluate new suppliers for capabilities, cost, quality and delivery reliabilityEnsure proper documentation of all arrangements and contracts where the company is liable for payment and maintaining accurate and current records of all such transactions, as well as ensuring proper document flow to relevant departments.What you need to have:3 to 5 years’ relevant experienceExperience as a Buyer in the Telecom or Electronics industries.Advanced/Expert level experience with ExcelCollege degree Superior communication skills both verbal and writtenProficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and internet applications)Thorough knowledge of ERP system functionality and transactionsNegotiating and networking expertiseInternational trade experienceTeam workIt would be nice if you also had:APICS certifications such as CSCP highly desirableFor more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at www.teemagroup.com
