Front Office Agent
The Front Office Agent will generally be the first Fernbank Museum of Natural History employee visitors encounter. It is therefore imperative that all employees in this department be polite, courteous and professional at all times. Front Office Agents must always display a genuine concern for the needs of all visitors and must be willing to exhaust all efforts to ensure that each visitor has the most enjoyable experience possible. Front Office Agents must also possess the ability to learn and maintain the museums cash-handling policies and procedures, as each agent is responsible for balancing sales revenue at the end of each day.
Selling museum, giant screen movie, annual memberships and any other special event/programs that the museum offers.
Providing accurate, professional and courteous service to each visitor.
Answering questions and directing visitors as required.
Maintaining knowledge of all museum programming.
1 year of face-to-face customer service skills
Flexibility in scheduling
Some evening, weekend and holiday season availability
1 year of experience in cash handling and credit card processing
Basic computer and internet experience
Basic Outlook 365 skills
Good oral and written communication
Ability to interact well with all visitors and coworkers
