Title: Manager, Information Security/Information Security OfficerJob ID: DB1580161115Location: Brampton, ONOur client, an industry leader, is looking to hire a Manager, Information Security. They need someone to assume overall responsibility for developing and executing the company’s information security strategy. Other duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:Ensuring the company’s IT systems and data are secure by design and are adequately protected from cyber-attacks. Ensure processes and procedures are in place to guide action should an attack take placeCreating organizational awareness about cyber security and privacyDeveloping and implement online information security awareness trainingReviewing, updating and implementation of security policies, procedures and technical security standardsProviding security oversight of IT systems design and implementation to ensure appropriate and effective security controls are includedQualifications:Education and certification Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical fieldActive Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or equivalent industry certifications Experience15+ years of combined experience in security risk and compliance management, assessment, auditing, research and/or consultingManaging teams of information security domain experts, analysts and professionalsAssessing and addressing regulatory compliance and data privacy requirements (GDPR, PIPEDA, PCi/DSS, etc.)Developing and implementing information security strategies, programs, policies and standardsKnowledge and skillsIn-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs to security controlsDemonstrated ability to perform security risk and compliance assessments in fast-paced, global business and technology environmentsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
