Title: Manager IT, Engineering and Corporate SystemsJob ID: SP716080115Location: Calgary, ABWe are seeking a Manager IT, Engineering and Corporate Systems who will be part of our client’s business services team. This is a hands-on leadership role who’s primarily accountability is to manage customer developed and off the shelf business systems that support the client’s engineering and corporate business units. The position supervises the Engineering and Corporate Systems team of Business Analyst, manage and support the off the shelf and customer .Net applications and perform Business Analyst functions to support the business as required.The ideal candidate is an effective leader who will lead the team and the business partnering activities between them, other IT functions and business customers. A major focus of this team is custom application development. This requires strong working knowledge of various application development methodologies including agile, waterfall and iterative. This will be supported by exceptional business analysis capabilities that understand the multi-dimensional business model and can build strong relationships amongst numerous business stakeholders. With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive their organization forward. Responsibilities:Lead Engineering and Corporate Systems team including personnel management, goal setting, resource planning and performance management.Provide Business Analysis best practices for the organization and coaching to team members.Collaborate with business teams and other functional analysts to define the expected BA deliverables and scope for assigned IT projects.Deliver solutions with little or no defect through the effective application of quality assurance for custom developed applications.Partner with the business to steward the multi-year application roadmap.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Education and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or equivalent education.10+ years of significant experience working on projects in an environment with technical and non-technical stakeholders with experience analyzing requirements, liaising with business/technical stakeholders, leading requirement elicitation working sessions, developing and presenting recommendations/solutions to business partners and senior management.2+ years as a lead analyst in custom development project teams.Experience partnering with custom developers in an agile or iterative software development environment.Strong Application Development, Business Analyst and Enterprise Architecture experienceProven experience building business relationships and trusted partnerships.Experience facilitating business change through training, process development and data analysis.Direct supervisory experience preferred.Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of project management best practices and the ability to apply them.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex business requirements.Ability to work effectively as part of a team; highly motivated self-starter; detail-oriented with an ability to think through problems creatively.Ability to influence outcomes without direct control.Proven ability to work under time constraints.Ability to travel, primarily within Canada and the United States.For more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at www.teemagroup.com
